Odette is a 30-minute short film about Odette, a young girl who has to adjust to her mom’s new boyfriend while uncovering her father’s secret. And to top it all off she has to go through the most traumatic experience ever… high-school drama.
CASTING FOR
[ADAM] 30s-40s, East-Asian male. Adam is a deep and soulful character, a silent philosophical type. He is Odette’s father and he adores her, he tries to give her as much advice as he can because he knows that soon he might not be able to…but he’d never let Odette know that. LEAD
[MAY] 30s-40s, East-Asian female. May is Odette’s mother. She is the type of mom who would bake you a fresh batch of cookies after a long day of school. She’s funny and sometimes a little mischievous. But she also knows how to put her foot down, especially when it comes to Odette’s attitude towards her new boyfriend.
*I am a 16-year-old actress/writer, and with the help of my acting teacher, we are creating this short film. I am making this just to gain experience, and deepen my love for acting. If you feel the same feel free to audition, even you don’t have any experience! Also since this is a no-pay project, it would be preferred that all auditions come from the Yolo County area and/or have reliable transportation.”
