John is a 35-year-old reveler and a merry fellow. An extrovert with a “streak of adventurism,” naturally endowed with the ability to communicate and understand people.
Simon is a friend of John, 40-45 years old, a grumpy but kind-hearted guy. He behaves as if he is much older (walks leisurely, says “right things”). He constantly helps his friend and at the same time criticizes him for frivolous actions, trying to set him on the right path. He appears as a very calm, reasonable, serious guy, an ingenuous truth-teller and moralist.
Amanda is a 20-25 years old white blonde woman. She beautiful, smart, defiant and reckless. She believes that all methods are good in pursuit of one’s goals. She is a loner, because of her character and attitude towards people, which is why she feels so embittered with life. She is energetic, impulsive, self-centered, and stubborn, but at the same time tired of loneliness and her own difficult personality.
Angel is a young woman of 30 years old, once beautiful, happy, and cheerful. During her marriage she has turned into the meek house slave of her tyrant husband, with a heavy inferiority complex. Unable to cope with her complexes on her own, she is looking for someone who can help her regain her cheerful and confident self. She is an introvert with low self-esteem, looks withdrawn, appears calm but in fact is overly sensitive. She dreams of changing her life but lacks confidence in her abilities.
Monica is a 40-45 year old African-American woman. She has devoted her whole life to her family and never held any official job. The children grew up and went their own ways, and her husband left her for another woman. Monica is forced to rebuild her life but does not know where to start. She is quite melancholic and introverted, and at the same time determined and persistent. Her favorite pastime is drawing.
