Job Description
Casting singers, singers who dance/move well, and strong dancers for lead and ensemble roles in "It’s A Kind of Magic," a new revue honoring the music of the legendary rock band Queen.
This theatrical show will feature a cast of approximately 20 singers, dancers, and actors backed by a live rock band. Looking to hire a diverse cast of 13 strong male and female singers, specifically strong belters with great vocal technique and stage presence. Singers should expect to lead on one or two songs while providing background/harmony support on others. Dance or movement experience is a plus, but not required for all roles. Additionally looking to cast 4-5 strong dancers as principal dancers; for these roles, singing ability is a plus but not required.
Rehearsals run mid-May through early Sept. (Thurs. and some Mon. nights) in San Francisco, CA or the East Bay area. Show runs Sept. 6-8 and 13-15 in a black box theater space in San Francisco, CA.
