arcadia — “shortwave” & “arcadia homeowners’ association”
non-union, independent film
about us and the project
we’re both graduates of case western reserve university who are now studying filmmaking at tri-c. our goal is to produce character-focused shorts that can serve as professional-grade additions to both our reel and yours. all the shorts will be self-contained but set in the shared universe of ‘arcadia’ and certain characters may recur.
auditions:
saturday, august 11th from 12:00pm to 4:00pm

shooting dates: one night in august (“shortwave”), two daytime shoots in august (“arcadia homeowners’ association”) — flexible scheduling
synopsis:
a series of vignettes set the fictional ohio town of arcadia.
vignette #1 “shortwave”: during his weekly late-night talk radio show, alan receives a mysterious call from a disturbed man named kevin. as they talk, alan tries to figure out if kevin actually has information about dark goings on in arcadia, or if he’s just a lonely kook.
vignette #2 “arcadia homeowners’ association”: charlie, the overbearing president of a suburban neighborhood association, attempts to ensure that his neighbors are following the homeowners’ association handbook to the lette
