Seeking an actor to portray John Ritter in ITV's "Autopsy: The Last Hours of John Ritter."
Production states: "In this investigative medical documentary series, we look at the lives and deaths of the biggest names in entertainment history. Combining high-end stylised drama reconstruction, extensive archive and revealing interviews, we tell their stories and unpick the- often mysterious circumstances surrounding their deaths.
John Ritter, the physical comedic actor best known for his role of Jack Tripper in the iconic 70s hit show ‘Three’s Company,’ has consistently worked in TV, having appeared in over 100 films and TV shows. However, it would be 25 years since 'Three’s Company' aired before he landed a starring role in an ABC sitcom again. In 2002 John’s new show ‘8 Simple Rules’ became a hit and he seemed happier than ever.
However, tragedy would soon strike one day on the set when he was struck down with a life-threatening illness and John Ritter would be dead within hours.
'Autopsy' will explore the incredible life story of John Ritter’s achievements as well as investigating the final days leading up to his untimely death. We will chart the rise and falls in John Ritter’s career, and uncover the reality of his life and death of John Ritter."
