22; is Lindsay’s younger sister; she is semi-single, sarcastic, and jaded with mood swings that change direction faster than a crazy rollercoaster; she plays her victim role perfectly which aids in her lifetime goal of remaining unemployed; but she is bright, witty and theatrical which makes her a hoot to be around; just make sure you’re on her good side because her idea of a good time is usually getting revenge on someone who has crossed her, and it doesn’t take much to make the list; she has two toddler daughters with her on-again, off-again boyfriend; she’s itching to get Lindsay to loosen up a bit, but not for Lindsay’s good; it’s to make herself look a little less crazy.
24; is single, sweet, cheerful, happy-go-lucky, well-adjusted and is Lindsay’s old school friend. She is trendy, with her current mood being slightly punk-styled; although she is responsible enough to be continually employed, she is living with her parents and living in the now, spending every penny she makes on herself... clothes, make-up, vacations, booze, etc; with no place of her own, she cheerleads her friends to host wild bashes at their places; she is living the life and partying it up.
40; is Lindsay’s boss; he is married, handsome, impeccably dressed, but also arrogant, pretentious and persnickety; he is the manager of a contracts department and presides over eight people, but you would think he was the CEO of this 70,000 employee company; he prides himself on being of good English stock, even though he’s sixth generation American; his pinky finger will rise from his coffee mug; he brags of only watching PBS television; he is more than satisfied with Lindsay’s superb work, but would never admit it. It seems that he has decided that Lindsay is to be treated more like a daughter and one who needs advice... lots of it.
60; is single and has never been married. No kids. She is sour, pushy and gossipy; she loves her job at an aerospace company where she gets her kicks lording over people, loving way too much the power and control she has over them when they must come to her for pens, paper, copy machine toner, and what not; she’s instilled a fear and a dread in every one, including the high-ups, about the inevitable, verbal lashing they’ll get about their wastefulness; at home, she’s no better. She’s the landlord of a four-unit apartment building that she watchdogs like a prison camp; she has one soft spot, though... for the occasional young, handsome man who might cross her path.
30; is single, handsome, likable and a man of faith. On the police force for eight years, he is an officer with a stellar record; made fun of by some of his friends on the force for his Puritan lifestyle, he pays no attention; his interest is in clean fun; he knows that staying on the path of righteousness will nourish his mind, body and soul in the best way.
