Jake is a down on his luck recently laid off factory worker; he's quicker than people give him credit for leading to most of his victories.
Zorda is long time best friends with Tommy and Jake; he worked at the factory with Jake; he's mean and slightly dull; just not a great person; underlying hatred for Jake.
Tommy is best friends with both Jake and Zorda but has an affinity for Jake; quiet working class type and down to earth.
