A chance encounter on public transit leads to an unlikely friendship between recent high school grad, Lizzie, and 79-year old George, two free spirits joined in denial of the life transitions facing them. Adopted by Lizzie's teen friend group, George gets a second chance to enjoy a "senior summer" and join their youthful activism, while Lizzie learns to stand up for her worth. By summer's end, their friendship helps them each reconcile with their loved ones before departing their familiar worlds.

Female supporting, 20s-40s. Daphne is the local waitress at a diner the old geezers frequent. She ‘honeys' everyone and is a natural busybody that is perfect for the maintenance this low-paying job requires.
Male supporting, 18. Drew is a chill and preppy teenager with musical longings who cares about his future but is unsure and fearful of his potential. He is protective of his friends and possesses the charm to get along with many crowds. The script offers a suggestion of unrequited love for friend Lizzie. Actor must be able to play the guitar and have some vocal ability.
Female supporting, 40s-50s. Drew's mom is a no-frills, analytic person, whose occupation could be assumed to be a lab scientist as her demeanor is calculative and serious.
Male supporting, elderly. Duncan is something of a caricature of a raging conservative, Maga type. He was classmates with George and also a Viet Nam Vet. He has a change of heart towards the end of the script, a redemption arc of sorts.

She and George participate in a jealousy ritual as part of the kink of their marriage, but this time the stakes are higher as she struggles to face her husband's terminal illness.
