Casting the lead roles in a two-hander short dramedy. Tommy is an aging punk musician who is starting to see his youthful life slip away. As his bands begin going on 'indefinite hiatus' so friends can settle down and start families (and with his own relationship on the brink of collapse), Tommy is relieved when his friend Dave invites him to his family's beautiful one-story beachfront house on Cape Cod for a little vacation. But then Dave cancels at the very last minute, leaving Tommy alone housesitting on the Cape with nothing but his thoughts and guitar to keep him company.
There he meets Peggy, the lonely old woman who lives in the house next door. Being a bumbling extrovert desperate for connection, Tommy attempts to get to know his new neighbor, which results in Peggy being disarmed by his slobby punk charms. When the two of them bond over a shared love of music, Tommy insists that they start a band of their own. Soon Tommy and Peggy's band slowly comes to life as they rehearse on the patio fueled by gin and tonics and the occasional weed gummy. By the end of the week, Tommy revives Peggy's youthful passion for music and singing while Peggy shows Tommy a path to be comfortable with his newfound lonely life. Through becoming both bandmates and friends, Tommy and Peggy ever so slightly open up each other's worlds.
