Responsibilities include facilitating creative drama/theatre workshops that are developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and focus on literacy/social-emotional learning in addition to theatre arts learning goals; collaborating with other TAs, classroom teachers, and staff to plan and develop programming; Participating in paid meetings and trainings; traveling to and work in all types of schools, on-site programs and community settings throughout Hudson County, New Jersey. Some opportunities may be available for virtual options.
Qualifications: Professional experience in a performing art form and/or as a teaching artist or educator; Experience working with diverse populations and ages; Foundational understanding of culturally responsive, anti-racist and/or social emotional learning; Strong teaching/facilitation, written, and interpersonal communication skills; Passion for creating community among a diverse population of learners; Required background check & fingerprinting clearance and must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. Clearances must be obtained prior to the first assignment.
Note: Bi-lingual skills a plus, but not required for the application.
