The true story of a sweet special education student who struggles to pass the state-required math test to graduate. After five tries (five semesters), she passes the test; however, on the very day the results come in, her beloved mentor unexpectedly dies without having learned the results. Among the problems Jasmine navigates through high school are apathetic parents, ignorance, a pregnancy, and a car shooting.
