CASTING BREAKDOWN – DIGITAL CASTING – BOOKING FROM PHOTOS and Q&A

WHAT: This is for a corporate hair model job. At a hair model job, you will sit, stand, or walk the runway while industry professionals discuss your hair in order for our clients to market their brand/product via an live audience, photos, or video.
ARE ANY EXPENSES COVERED? No. You must be willing to work as a LOCAL model.
WHERE: NYC
RATE: $15,000.00 minus 10% TOTAL. The usage is 5 years!

REQUESTED SIZE REQUIREMENTS: none
AGE RANGE: appearing 25 to 35 years of age (all talent must be legally 18 or older)
WHAT ARE THE DATES FOR THIS JOB: JUNE 30th (formal digital casting for select models)
Shoot Date: Week of 8/3/20 – Talent will shoot 1 day. Models will shoot in small groups to adhere to the COVID-19 safety practices.
Prep Date: TBD – 6 Hours MAX per model – Models will be needed to attend an individual salon appointment to have their hair colored.
Time: TBD – Approx. 8am – 8pm – TBD – 12 Hours MAX – Models should have full day availability.

BREAKDOWN: This is to be a HAIR model
All models will be playing featured/non-speaking dynamic characters. We are looking to cast 10-12 dynamic personalities whom are AFRICAN AMERICAN women of ALL SHADES – They have expressed a need for a diverse range in skin tone, especially darker skin tones. with amazing hair for their dye box print campaign. Models MUST be willing to color their natural hair. Due to our current global circumstances, this campaign will be shot in a closed set with a limited number of models at a time to adhere to the current safety practices.

-WE ARE LOOKING FOR ALL HAIR TYPES 2A-4C, COLORS, TEXTURES, AND LENGTHS.
-We are looking for “aspirational” hair.
-We are looking for all body types and sizes.
-We are looking for models that are comfortable with being captured through stills.
-We are looking for lots of diversity, and LOTS OF PERSONALITY and DIVERSITY!!! Performance and ease in front of the camera is the top priority. Each cast member should have a unique look, style and energy so they feel comfortable. Our hope is to create a cast assembled of people who are multi-faceted, not just faces and hairstyles.
****Talent must be ok with coloring their natural hair.
****Talent must be ok with working one-on-one with hairstylist for the shoot.
****Talent must be ok shooting on-set post – COVID 19 bans + restrictions

ALL MODELS – No changes will be made unless you agree to them (when applicable) via your answers below. We cannot work with weaves, extensions, wigs, or braids.

HOW TO APPLY –
1. ATTACHMENT OF PHOTOS & VIDEO
A. ATTACH 1 professional commercial headshot and 1 professional full length shot to show your physique.
B. ATTACH your VIDEO SUBMISSION: Please send a very quick 5 to 10 second video (not longer) showing your hair from the front, side and back if possible. Please run your hand through your hair a little. Nothing needs to be said. If you could get a friend to shoot it that is very helpful to show your hair in the back of your head. If not, don’t worry. Again, please do not say anything.
VIDEO PROBLEMS – If you have trouble sending a video. Send smiling shots from the front, side, and back (ALL THREE PLEASE).
• Good lighting is easy to get outside during the day.
• Holding the camera slightly above your head when taking the photo
• Bad selfies equals no job.
• Put a little effort into it!!
