Casting "Invasive Species," a short film that follows a 26-year old Asian American sound artist, Maggie, as she attends an artist’s residency full of older, more experienced artists. As she grapples with nuanced social politics within the residency & imposter syndrome, her paranoia and anxiety manifest at night — where she finds herself sleepwalking and accidentally consuming all the communal produce harvested from the residency’s farm. This is a Columbia University Film MFA production.
Production states: "Annie Ning is a filmmaker and theater artist from Suzhou, China, currently based in NYC. She graduated from Wesleyan University with a B.A. in Film.
