Mid-20s, she/her, Black woman. A budding journalist trying to maintain her sanity while making sense of the world around her. She's mindful but doesn't always make the best decisions. Sees things for what they are and tries to hold her tongue because she knows it can get her in trouble.
Mid-20s, she/her. Black woman. Tierra's high-maintenance friend trying to balance her religion, vanity, and her career all while being the rock in an unstable family.
Mid-20s, she/her. Black woman. Tierra's childhood friend who manages to support Tierra through her woes while hiding her own issues.
Mid-late 20s, he/him. Black man. Tierra's new supervisor at work whose charming and understanding personality shows Tierra that work, life, and love don't have to be complicated.
Late 20s, she/her. White woman. Tierra's conservative and outspoken co-worker who challenges Tierra, and their co-workers daily at work.
Mid 20s, he/him. Black man. Tierra's toxic ex that she can't seem to get rid of until he finally shows her that sometimes love is not enough.
Late 20s-mid 30s, Tierra's comical co-worker that always seems to know just what to say at the end of the workday. If she can make sense of it, that is.
