“mercury: a broadcast of hope”
atlanta radio theatre company is holding writing/acting auditions for their daily audio drama podcast mercury: a broadcast of hope, which recently passed its 200th episode. this is a non-paid opportunity.
mercury, as mentioned above, is a daily audio drama podcast. the premise is that there is a small group of people living in or around a college radio station broadcasting during the zombie apocalypse. each and every day they fire up their gas generator to power the transmitter and broadcast messages of hope and survival to anyone within range.
we are seeking actors to portray three new recurring roles that will appear occasionally. recording sessions typically take place 2-3 times per month, no more than one per week on tuesdays in most cases. the studio is located in tucker.
casting for:
janette “jj” jenkin
brash and crass former police officer who makes runs through zombie hordes to local super markets to take food and supplies to survivors who can’t otherwise get supplies on their own. jj is quick with a punchline, and she’ll happily help anybody out of a jam, but she can be a bit more crude than the three main characters are generally comfortable with. she does her best to keep it clean on the air.
