Job Description
Casting "Rent," a musical. Production states: "Seeking a diverse 14 person cast of strong actor-singers who move well. This will be an ensemble-driven, non-replica production of 'Rent.' Looking for performers with a collaborative sense of play, a love for the material, and the freedom to see this show with a fresh set of eyes. Performers of all races, ethnicities, orientations, and gender identifications are encouraged to audition. Please note specific character breakdowns below prior to submitting an audition. 'Rent' features many adult themes including sexual situations, intimacy, drug use, and profanity. No applications from performers under 18 years of age will be accepted. No exceptions!"
Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations
Rehearsals begin in Catonsville, MD on May 1 and run weekly: Sundays (1 p.m.-5 p.m.) and Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (7 p.m.-10:30 p.m.); show runs July 14-23.
Production states: "For all rehearsals until July 9, actors will never be called for more than four hours without their prior approval. There may be slightly longer calls during the tech period (July 10-13), but all will be discussed and agreed upon on the first day of rehearsal."
