Job Description
Casting Mandarin-speaking actors for a student film for New York University. Filmmaker states: "It is a story about a Chinese woman who comes to visit her daughter and her girlfriend in New York. Thinking she herself is a modern independent woman, she gets along with the girlfriend at dinner and even celebrates her daughter’s homosexuality by 'forcing' them to kiss. The daughter gets uncomfortable and leaves for a lesbian bar. With doubt and desperation of being replaced by the girlfriend, she follows the daughter and her girlfriend the bar. She finds herself humiliated and uncomfortable at the moment of a stranger’s flirting and her daughter’s meaningful gaze. She escapes the scene and breaks down emotionally while wandering on the street."
