Seeking fun, creative, dinosaur-loving people to work The Jurassic Encounter: Drive Thru Dinos. Looking to fill all shifts, including partial shifts.
Location: Richmond Raceway Complex Gate 7.
Event coordinator states: "We need GREETERS, PUPPET HANDLERS (we have the cutest life-like baby dino puppets!), TICKET SCANNERS, MERCH SELLERS, and Overall Event Gurus. We are also looking for laborers to work move in/ set up and, later on, move out/ break down. We are looking for candidates with: a good attitude, an approachable demeanor, customer service experience, good work ethic, reliable transportation, and the ability to be on your feet for long periods of time. The ability to speak Spanish is a huge plus but NOT REQUIRED to apply. FOR LABORERS, include manual labor experience

Works Sept. 24-Oct. 10 (Weds.& Thurs. 1-7 p.m.; Fri. & Sat. 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; and Sun. 9 a.m.- 7 p.m.) at Richmond Raceway Complex Gate 7, 4690 Carolina Ave. Richmond, VA 23222.
Note: Move in/Set up dates are Sept. 19-24 (7-10 hrs./day) and Move Out/Breakdown dates are Oct. 11-14 (7-10 hrs./day).
Compensation & Union Contract Details
Professional Pay: $15/Hourly
Pay rate is $15/ hour. Typical payment is distributed in bulk once per week but may vary depending on the workers schedule. Food will be provided on various days though there is no structure to lunches or short breaks as this is a continuously running event all day.

Our greeters will be in front of the entrance welcoming all attendees, all of which will remain in their vehicles, and answering questions they might have. We are looking for a friendly and outgoing person who doesn't mind talking to strangers. Preferably, they are to be great with kids and families. Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.

Our Front of house staff will be responsible for scanning all tickets presented by attendees, all of which will remain in their vehicle, and granting them admission to the event. They will help in answering any questions the attendees may have. Preferably, front of house are to be welcoming, very friendly, and speeding with ticket scanning. Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.

Those who are working in our merch shop must be friendly, helpful, and willing to answer any questions our attendees may have. There are multiple positions under this title- shop keeper, photo-op helper, bouncy house helper, and more based on any skills you may have that we can use! Must be great with people. This is a VERY involved role to play! Our puppeteers will be walking the premise with a large baby dino puppet in their arms and interacting with our attendees, all of which will remain in their vehicle during the drive through. Improv skills are most preferable for this role. Our puppeteers MUST be great will children. You're walking around with a baby dinosaur in your arms- be silly, indulge in your character, have fun with it! Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.

Our traffic control will be responsible for directing vehicles to designated areas, maintaining a continuous and steady flow of traffic. Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.

This role is very hands on and requires manual labor as it involves the set up and, later on, the break down of our attraction. Animatronics will need to be put into place as well as miscellaneous equipment/ props. Must be good at taking and following directions, working with a team, and must be physically capable to lift/ move heavy objects. Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
