Job Description
Casting "The Ugly One," an audacious, witty and as sharp as a surgeon’s knife look at… well, our obsession with how we look. Synopsis: Lette has invented something revolutionary but discovers he is just too damn ugly to promote it. His wife admits he’s so ugly she can only look at him in his left eye. Enter a surgeon with a God complex and a talent for facial transformations and for a while Lette finally gets a life beyond his wildest dreams. Until everyone else changes their face to look like him… Production states: "Although the play asks for male and female actors for the roles, we encourage and welcome all actors who would like to audition for any part. Note: There are three Fannys, two Schefflers, and two Karlmanns. All three Fannys are played by the same actress. The two Schefflers and the two Karlmanns are also played by the same actors. There are four actors in total. Actors playing Fanny, Lette, and Karlmann will be required to have onstage a kiss/es and an inferred sex scene."
