NBA Legend Auditioned For X-Men!

NBA Legend Auditioned For X-Men!

When X-Men was released about twenty years ago, it completely changed the world of comic book movies. Even though Superman, Batman and Blade already existed, it was X-Men that showed the producers how much potential the movie had after suffering a decade filled with box office disappointments and bad reviews. The bulk of X-Men's success became obvious after the premiere and the ticket sales. However, one amazing fact is that a few celebrities had been looking for an opportunity to feature in the movie.

It may shock you to know that Michael Jackson and Shaquille O'Neal had wanted to move into the movie industry and one of them had even auditioned for a role in X-Men. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of our favorite mutants, Observer published an article about the production of the series. The executive producer, Ralph Winter provided some interesting facts about some famous people who wanted to feature in the movie. He said, "I have lots of warm memories of people that came in wanting to be in the movie. Michael Jackson was a big comic fan and wanted to play Charles Xavier. Shaquille O’Neal showed up at the offices and wanted to play Forge, who wasn’t in the movie."
