Biography

when I started doing music, it was way back in 2010 with two of my friends (Edgie Fr3sh *fresh/ & Raffael aka boomer)
we used to come together and spit some verses over instrumentals and record them on our computers aka laptops,
some of the stuff were good and some were really terrible and that's just how it was back then.
we made a track called "back in the hood" it was not really good quality but people liked it a little, and that got us a little recognition around the suburbs which to us back then was awesome.

After 1-2 years past we started to drift apart and i really missed making music so in the early 2012 i messaged Edgie Fr3sh and i asked him if he wanted to get a group together, and he was down for it and he asked me if one of his friend can join as well, so i said yes, and it ended up to be one of the guys i knew from primary school which made it so much easier to communicate within the group.
Earlier that week, we planned to meet so we can come up with the group name and it took awhile to come up with it.
After some hours we finally came up with three letters Y.G.C which stands for the first initials of our previous stage name which were Young Ricky, G-sain and Cosmik Kidd.

That was one of the best moments because the names got known and it was one of those moment where i was like " awesome a couple of people knows our name", and so we set down and talked about making our first single
and which is the first song on my playlist called "Gone Past It All.
The song really took its time to be made and i think that is a good thing because it gave us time to think of ways we can make it better, and some editing had to be made in the lyrics.
When we were done with the lyric we then had to record it but if we had not known people that knew producers, the song would have been hard to make, so Edgie Fr3sh was like "i'll talk to this guy called G-Marl and ask him if he can help us",
so couple of weeks later we got together and talked about the group and what our plans were and what we wanted to do, so he basically took us under his wings into FNTS Entertainment and it was a good thing because it opened few doors for us to explore into. (the song was finished in 2013 but the set date for release was on March 14-15th in 2014)

In early 2015 me and Edgie Fr3sh got together and started to work on the new single called "Be Mine" which will be featuring him in it, the song lyrics contains some mixed languages which are Swahili, Kirundi and English few people who have heard the song says its good, and my mum said it was good and that's the first time she ever told me that and i think because she understands most parts, but it made me happy to hear that from her so i hope whoever hear it as well will also enjoy it.
Date has not been clarified yet to when it will be released but i'm hoping by the end of the year (2015)

Between May and April 2015 it was when i left FNTS Entertainment and went under F.Y.M.E (Farm Yard Music Entertainment) management and to be honest i did not want to leave it to leave the group that i came with, it was a hard choice for me but i had to leave because the way it was going is not the way i saw my future lane but don't get me wrong i loved being part of FNTS and there was brilliant ideas being brought up on the table, but its was a choice i had to make and now i have to create my own image and way with a new name Kozimik, but it's cool because i can still use my creative thinking and cultivate my ideas better but for now I'm working on my next single no name yet to be picked but hopefully people will enjoy it as much as "Be Mine" when it comes out.

about acting now that's a another story
