Sophie Bell is a 20 year-old dancer most specifically trained in the field of hip-hop and commercial performance. She first stepped into the London dance world at the age of thirteen where she would train weekly with Kenrick ‘H20’ Sandy. At the age of 16 she made a permanent move to London where she began her studies of performing arts at North London Dance Studios (now know as DNA Studios, Waltham Abbey). Here Sophie advanced her training in ballet, tap, jazz, acting and modern dancing as well as singing and musical theatre. Of course, her passion for commercial and hip-hop dance shone through in her performances and she helped to choreograph many routines used in shows and at events with the college.
As well as attending a performing arts school, Sophie often went to classes and workshops coordinated by Tricia Miranda, Brian Freidman, Gil Duldulao, Laurieann Gibson, Liam Lunnis, Chris Judd and Kimberley Taylor. These choreographers have helped to bring out the best in Sophie and she continues to be found at many of their events around London.
On graduating Sophie was approached to work for the West Ham Hammerettes as a choreographer and assistant creative director for their cheerleading squad. Further to this Sophie was given the opportunity to perform at the Heineken Cup final in Cardiff as well as model and dance at many sporting events.
Sophie now is broadening her dance, model and acting career by doing music videos, stage shows and commercials.
