Biography

Born in Montreal Canada to Haitian immigrants and moving to Brooklyn New York at six years old, Erickson Dautruche knew then he wanted to become an actor. At 13 years old he made the conscious decision to pursue his dream and applied to Julia Richmen High Talent Unlimited high school and was accepted in the Drama programs studying modern and classical theater. He rode the train daily from his home in Crown Heights Brooklyn to high school in Manhattan determined to hone in on his craft. During his sophomore year, Erickson received a full paid scholarship to The Ensemble Theater Community School in Wilkes-Barrel Pennsylvania and spent the summer studying Shakespeare, Molière and various acting techniques. He has also studied "Acting For Film And Television" with Jeffrey Ziener at Wiest-Barron studios for years, this eventually lead to his first agency signing in which he was subsequently cast in many commercial prints, ads and spots. Most recently, he began a Voice Over course with Elizabeth Bunnell of Shut-Up and Talk. Like most NYC actors, Erickson is consistently creating ways of improving his craft and takes advantage of every opportunity on his path He hope to one day work with some of his favorites in the industry like Denzel Washington, Keifer Sutherland, Meryl Streep, Morgan Freedman and Jack Nicholson.
