Parker Jenkins is currently an MFA Acting & Stagecrafts candidate at Pace University, studying with The Actor’s Studio Drama School. He is also a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, receiving degrees in Psychology (BS) and Dramatic Arts (BA), with minors in neuroscience and chemistry and concentrations in neuropharmacology and acting.
Working as a student actor, lighting designer, director, and playwright—along with his research and studies in clinical neuropharmacology and pathopsychology—Parker’s theatrical work centers around the myriad of mental, emotional, and social struggles in this lifetime we call “the human experience.” He began acting eight years ago, and fell in love with the stage. From as early as he can remember, Jenkins took a journal with him wherever he went, recording poetry and other ramblings. Now, he is combining his two passions—and areas of study—to explore the theatrical experience and address the psychological nuances that underlie the modern human experience.
