Thea Fogel is originally from Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Thea is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance with a minor in Public Relations at Hofstra University. She is an actor, singer, artist and lover of sports.
Thea started acting at the age of twelve where she made her debut as Dorothy in THE WIZARD OF OZ. Her connection to the stage was enough to keep her wanting more.
In 2014 & 2015, Thea attended The Junior Theatre Festival and received All-Star Actor Award both years for her role as Mayzie in SEUSSICAL and THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE.
In 2017, Thea was awarded a Pennsbury High School Excellence in Drama Award.
Thea has been in Hofstra University's production of FEFU AND HER FRIENDS, directed by Tatiana Pandiani, where she portrayed Paula Cori. She was also in a production of AL TAKES A BRIDE, where she portrayed Alice Mitchell, directed by Christine O'Toole.
In Fall 2020, Thea starred as Corie Bratter in BAREFOOT IN THE PARK. This being the first masked production at Hofstra University.
She was featured in a horror short film THE ASSISTANT, as Vanessa, directed and written by Stephan Hatchett and GARFELD: THE MUSICAL, as a supporting role, written and directed by Teddy Grey. This summer, she portrayed the role of Lex in the film A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH, directed and written by Mike Wenderlich.
In addition to her work at school, Thea also works as a Teaching Assistant at A Class Act NY, where she has worked alongside Leigh Ann Larkin, James Leo Ryan, Ashley Kate Adams, Shannon Flynn and Christopher Fitzgerald.
Thea, with her friend Ava Grace, has a podcast, A & T, which is streaming on all major platforms.
Thea spends a lot of her time teaching kids and adults how to be a safer swimmmer.
If Thea is not at rehearsal or working, you can find her painting records, watching hockey, or teaching swim lessons.
Coming soon, Thea recently finished the recording of her first audiobook, THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ ( a true full-circle moment for her), which is coming out of May 2021.
