CASTING NOTICE: SHORT FILM
Hi everyone, my name’s Christian. I’m casting for a short film titled “Experimental Film” which will be shooting in the DMV area later this summer.
The idea of the film is basically to poke fun at the genre of “experimental film” and how pretentious and not-all-that-artistic it can be while claiming to be totally brilliant and avant-garde. I personally think the script is pretty funny, and I’d be happy to share it with anyone who’s interested.
This is an unpaid, non-union project. IMDB credit will be provided, however, as well as ample food and drinks on set.
Cast:
Guy in Suit – Mid 20s, caucasian. Devoid of emotion.
Little Girl – 5-9 years of age. A very stereotypical sweet little girl.
Sex Guy – Slender, caucasian, attractive. Ideally pale. Someone who could’ve possibly been cast as Edward in Twilight and will complement a similar female counterpart. Will spend the entirety of their role making out with said female counterpart with very little clothing.
Sex Girl – Slender, caucasian, attractive. Ideally pale. Someone who will complement their male counterpart and will also spend the entirety of their role making out with said male counterpart with very little clothing.
Husband – Mid 30s. Wears a sweatervest and just has general “husband” energy. Must be able to play anger well.
Wife – Mid 30s. Blonde hair ideal. Someone who could pass as a wife of the Husband character. Also must be able to play anger well.
Laundry Woman – Mid 40s. A tired, worn out housewife who has almost reached her breaking point. Something as minuscule as accidentally dropping a load of laundry could send her into despair. Must be able to emote well.
Guy in Car – College aged, caucasian. Pale. Similarly emo-esque to the rest of the characters.
Chess Player 1 – Male. Age open. Ethnicity open. Heavy-set, boisterous.
Chess Player 2 – All character traits open.
Sensible Person of Color – 20s – 30s. Will be the only normal character in this entire thing, and will acknowledge the absurdity of all the nonsense going on around him / her.
