Self-tapes accepted only. Rehearsals will take place over virtually late APRIL. Shoot is based in New York, shooting dates are tentatively MAY8th-9th
COVID-19 Protocol: PCR Testing is required of all cast and crew prior to the shoot. PPE is required on set at all times with the exception of cast performing during takes. Production workflow will ensure physical distancing and limit the number of cast and crew in the shooting space.
LOGLINE
A coming-of-age romance between two teenage girls who meet in the bathroom of a Chinese restaurant while having dinner with their families.

MAGGIE’S MOM (DAYPLAYER)
40 – 50 years old. Ethnically Chinese, fluent in English. Her favorites stores are Costco and Ann Taylor. Born in China but moved to the US when she was young and went to college in the U.S. Has lived in the states for a long time and feels very American but still has deep Chinese roots and values. Supportive of her daughter, but doesn’t necessarily know what’s best for her.
MAGGIE’S AUNT (DAYPLAYER)
40 – 60 years old. Speaks English and Chinese. Good comedic timing. Outspoken, loves name-brand designers, gaudy jewelry and isn’t afraid to speak her mind or say her opinions. Love to gossip and brag about her own children. More comfortable with Chinese culture and values than her sister. A bit reminiscent of Madame Liang in Ang Lee’s EAT DRINK MAN WOMAN (1994).
